The goal is the creation of a community of inquiry to experiment with various forms of blended online learning environments at dual-mode universities (offering courses both on campus and online) in order to solve educational design related problems in higher education, with a special focus on graduate studies.

This research will also monitor emerging trends with regard to borderless and transnational education in order to offer universities better ways of dealing with outreach in the context of globalization.
